
Vaughn Kenneth Stecker is a retired Michigan attorney with more than 35 years of experience in criminal law, public service, and trial advocacy. Admitted to the Michigan Bar in 1987, he earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola Marymount University.
Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Stecker served in prosecutorial offices across Michigan, handling complex criminal matters and major felony cases. His experience includes service as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in both Kalamazoo and Branch Counties, where he represented the People of the State of Michigan in a wide range of criminal proceedings.
Mr. Stecker later served as Chief Prosecuting Attorney for Branch County, overseeing office operations, supervising attorneys and staff, and managing significant criminal prosecutions. His leadership and extensive courtroom experience earned him a reputation for professionalism, preparation, and dedication to the fair administration of justice.
From 2008 through 2023, Mr. Stecker served as Michigan's Traffic Safety Resource Prosecutor with the Prosecuting Attorneys Association of Michigan. In that role, he worked closely with prosecutors, law enforcement agencies, and traffic safety professionals throughout the state, providing training and guidance on impaired driving, vehicular homicide investigations, and related criminal justice issues.
